People ask me where the frogs come from. I tell them that this is what happens when you raise a kid on 70's advertising and Catholic iconography.

Frogs represent that part of each of us which, no matter how much schooling or religion we get, will always remain the same. Psychologists say that underneath all of our prodigious grey matter, our inner lizard just wants to fart around. And I'm a wee bit jealous of life forms that do very well existing below the radar of "good" and "bad". Monsters bridge a gap between a childish sense that, beautiful or ugly, any outcome is a possible adventure and the adult whose social religiousity has a preference between "good" and "bad".
